About Watson Museum
The Watson Museum stands in Jubilee Garden in central Rajkot, in the Queen Victoria Memorial Institute building. It is named after Colonel John Watson, a British political agent in Kathiawar. Its galleries hold sculptures and 13th-century temple carvings, coins, manuscripts, inscriptions, textiles and folk embroidery, musical instruments, paintings from royal families, and objects from the princely state of Rajkot.
