Kaba Gandhi no Delo

The Gandhi family home in Rajkot, where Mahatma Gandhi lived from the age of 12 through his school years.

About Kaba Gandhi no Delo

Kaba Gandhi no Delo means 'Kaba Gandhi's house'. Kaba was the popular name of Karamchand Gandhi, Mahatma Gandhi's father and Diwan (chief minister) of Rajkot State, and this was the family home. Young Gandhi lived here from 1881 to 1887. The house, in the traditional Saurashtra style with an arched gateway and courtyard, is now a memorial showing photographs of his life.
