About Rann of Kutch
The Great Rann of Kutch is a large seasonal salt marsh, once a shallow arm of the Arabian Sea. It floods in the monsoon and, as it dries, leaves a white crust of salt. People go to see it at the White Rann near Dhordo village, where the Rann Utsav festival is held each winter.
