About Lakhota Lake
Lakhota Lake, also called Ranmal Lake, is a man-made lake in the heart of Jamnagar, with tree-lined promenades and a running track around it. On an island in the lake stands Lakhota Kotha, often called Lakhota Palace, a water fort built in 1846 by Jam Ranmalji as a drought-relief work. Today it is a museum of sculptures, coins, miniature paintings and royal weapons.
